OK, GANG-A-LANG-A-LANG: What you're about to read is a project that I did for a creative-writing class that USED to meet at VISIONS SERVICES FOR THE BLIND (135 W. 23RD STREET ((SELIS MANOR)) earlier this year, and I was checking my saved documents in a folder that I created, and came across THIS: UNFORTUNATELY, I couldn't PROPERLY TITLE this piece, NEVERTHELESS, I'm goin' with it, just the same.
WELL, since I understand that there's ABSOLUTELY NO CENSORSHIP, whenever it involves any of our PERSONAL WRITING to be shared in class, I wanna present something that can DEFINITELY CHALLENGE ALL BOUNDARIES that've been SET UP, DESIGNED, AND ASSIGNED to encourage the very IGNORANCE that contributes to ALL CONFLICTS that result--I'm ACTUALLY referring to the CONFLICT OF CONCEPTION BETWEEN BLIND AND SIGHTED.
Now, not to either PUT DOWN, OR LIFT UP, NFB, as the VERY MILITANT/RADICAL, but the VERY THING, whether they realize it or not, or do they even WANT to, that ABSOLUTELY PUTS THEIR INTEGRETY AS FULL-FUNCTIONING-AS-WHOLE-PEOPLE advocation on the VERY HOT SEAT that the IGNORANTS find THEMSELVES on, after having to deal with EITHER ME, or ANYONE ELSE, who's EQUALLY PROVOKATIVE, is that they FIGHT the opposition, instead of CONQUERING it. What proffits them to "FIGHT FOR THEIR RIGHTS," when all THAT does is FUEL the ignorance, instead of TOTALLY DEFUSING it? What I find that's ABSOLUTELY DISTURBING, is that phrases, like: "My EYES don't work, but MY MIND does," instead of the ABSOLUTE-CONQUEROR-PHRASE: "NOONE NEEDS SIGHT, whether you HAVE it, OR YOU DON'T." Now, you JUST MIGHT ARGUE that BOTH are the same, OR SIMILAR; NOT EVEN--the "FIGHT PHRASE" translates as STRUGGLE, HARDSHIP, COPING, PROOVING, ETC., ETC., ETC., ETC., which the IGNORANT are TOTALLY IMMUNE to. SURE, it may TREAT the matter, IF EVEN THAT. TREATMENT only puts the ignorance in REMISSION, ONLY TO, like a RELENTLESS CANCER, METASTICIZE at whatever point in time. The "CURE PHRASE" ENDS ALL TO END ALL, as far as IGNORANCE is ended. That's DEFINITELY the ONLY ABSOLUTE WAY to deal with it, WITHOUT FIGHT. THIS, however, is THE VERY AREA that NFB, AS RADICAL AS THEY CLAIM TO BE, SURPRISINGLY, would seem to AVOID; question is: why IS that?
What I think should be formed, is a group of THOSE OF US, that DARINGLY CHALLENGE THE IGNORANCE STATUS QUO, NOT PROTEST IT. PROTESTING is EQUIVALENT TO THAT OF ADOLESCENTS, DESPERATELY PROOVING their independence to their DISAPROOVING PARENTS, and havin to FIGHT to KEEP THEIR APPROOVAL, after FINALLY CONVINCING THEM.
Very interesting. I'll have to think about this.

I'VE GOT JUST THE QUESTION: why the fuck is it ... (the fowl language is unnecessary, of course) that whenever you challenge an "ignorant," who would, NOT ONLY point out THE ABSOLUTE OBVIOUS, but will ACTUALLY TUNE OUT, when WE re-direct that point-out BACK TO THEM, when TOLD, FLAT-OUT: "THAT'S OBVIOUS," and STILL INSIST on telling you, ANYWAY? MY GUESS, if there's EVER SUCH A "DIAGNOSIS," if you will, is that PERHAPS, THIS BRAND OF IGNORANT BEHAVIOR COULD BE THE RESULT of an ACTUAL PHOBIA that a 20-20-sighted "IGGIE (ignorant)" might have, that's PROBABLY OF ANY OF US that LIVE THE VERY EQUAL-INTERFUNCTIONAL LIFE, TOTALLY UNINHIBITTED, IN THEIR FACE, and that's just WAY TOO MUCH for them, AND BECAUSE THEY'RE IGNORANT, which makes it EVEN ALL THE MORE WORSE for THEM, THEY'RE "PERFECTLY" VULNERABLE--I ALWAYS GET A THRILL out of PURPOSELY RUNNING, JUST SO THAT I MIGHT give SOME "IGGIE" a heart attack, because according to THESE ASS-HOLES, WE'RE not SUPPOSED to run, BECAUSE WE'RE BLIND, AND OLY BECAUSE OF THAT, are WE the ones, PRONE TO FALLING, EASILY. You hear how STUPID that shit is? Where do these "SIGHTIES" GET THESE IDIOTIC PHOBIA-GENERATED IDEAS? HOW MUCH MORE FUCKED UP could they EVER GET, than what they are, NOW? DAMN! STUPID-ASS FATHER-FUCKERS! IGNORANT PIECES OF DIABOLICAL SHIT! Now, NOT ALL 20-20-SIGHTED, in case I hadn't ALREADY CLEARED UP, in any of my posts ELSEWHERE on this line, are ignorant, of course, BUT ALL ARE TESTED, in VARIOUS WAYS, and those that PASS, as well as those that FAIL, are EXTREMELY DISTINCTIVE, so they could NEVER GET AWAY, no matter WHAT they do ...
Well, Single, how would this work in reality? Is your philosophy similar to Gandhi's?
Honestly speaking, I'm NOT philosophical, although I might seem to EFFECT that way, and since GANDHI is no more, as far as any KNOWLEDGE of (gender, unsure of) her/him than JUST A NAME that I've heard, and if I'm not mistaken, he/she was assasinated, (reason, unknown), I wouldn't know what his/her "philosophy" was.
Mahatma Ghandi was known for his peaceful protests against the authority the British colonial governments had established in India. He believed in peaceful resistance, rather than aggressive confrontation of his enemies. He was and still is highly respected throughout the world.
He was Asian Indian, he was male, and his philosophies ring through in cultural, diplomatic and social negotiations even today.
He also was quoted as saying he would have become a Christian, but he met one once. Interesting, since that person's behaviors and language reflected so poorly upon what they professed as religious standards that other people were actually repelled by them...hmmmm.
DAMN! YOU mean to tell ME that it's WELL OVER ONE! SOLID! YEAR! since I POSTED TO THIS?! Well, what I WILL add is: within that ENTIRE TIME-FRAME, the ONLY THING THAT'S CHANGED of the AVERAGE IGNORANT, is that such has worsened. It would be the ACTUAL SCENE of a UNIVERSAL CATASTROPHY for ANY IGNORANT to NO LONGER BE--SUCH "HARD-CORE IGNORANTS" will LITTERALLY DIE, should they EVER be TOTALLY STRIPPED of their desire to see US (those of us that are TOTALLY BLIND, ESPECIALLY) as disfunctional.
